This app extracts forecast information fromtheexperimental fire weather prediction projectFireBuster(https://fwxfcst.us/firebuster), developed at the PacificSouthwestResearch Station of the U.S. Forest Service. Forecasts areproducedtwice-daily from a regional weather model with a spatialresolutionof up to 1-km – higher than any available forecast. Highresolutionforecasted information is particularly useful in themountainousarea of California and Nevada, which is the primaryservice area ofthis mobile app.
